Browser is an option, but downloading it is still recommended!

Browser tends to break in full-screen, makes sounds too loud, sometimes making them never stop playing, boxes can get stuck if they get too low to the ground, and it can get pretty laggy.

- Description -

Break to Scale is a short and sweet puzzle game where you play as an intern, using a magic-imbued computer to manipulate blocks and help a robot through levels it couldn't complete otherwise. You break down blocks into smaller parts, build a path, and hopefully get power back to the facility.

It features 15 levels, a full story with cutscenes, and as much polish as I could manage.

Made in around 69 active development hours for GMTK Game Jam 2024, solo-devved.

Super polished game, I especially like the music. However I am stuck on level one ! Is there something I'm missing ? Once I build a staircase with the smaller blocks and get the robot to the top what should I do?

Press up on the big dark rectangle !

Such a strong and polished experience!
Robot is cute, animatinos is smooth, sfx and vfx are a nice touch.

There are some jiggery when moving boxes and you can hold space while transitioning to the next level to hear chaos but it's never hurt the whole experience! Also, I would prefer to see "how many hammers left" near the cursor or closer to the center of the screen, maybe at the bottom but it might be preference.

Puzzles and mechanics are intuitive. Nice details like a speedrunning clock and retro shaders, and story.
Just a cool game!

Thank you! I'm trying to fix the jank with boxes as we speak haha, I definitely will after I get some rest.
